Isto deve ser obra da esquerda comunista, marronzista e badernenta: sociedade e política na telenovela "O Bem-Amado"

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo central analisar historicamente a telenovela ―O Bem- Amado‖, de Dias Gomes, exibida pela primeira vez e integralmente, em 1973, e depois, em 1977, reapresentada em versão compacta pela Rede Globo de TV, buscando conhecer e compreender as imagens e representações encetadas pela obra referentes aos elementos estruturais e da dinâmica da vida política e social brasileira que historicamente persistiam, ao contrário do pretendido processo modernizador do regime militar, ou foram alteradas em decorrência daquele regime. Assim, buscou-se sustentar a hipótese de que imagens e representações críticas da sociedade e da política brasileiras encetadas pela telenovela foram possíveis, para além da censura sofrida, em razão da convergência entre agentes da esquerda e do ideário liberal na crítica ao regime militar. Convergência essa que pode ser conhecida e analisada tendo como eixo as principais relações entre Dias Gomes e a Rede Globo de TV em termos da produção e veiculação da telenovela em foco, bem como em termos de sua forma e conteúdo. Como fontes serão empregadas à versão da telenovela disponível comercialmente em DVD, periódicos da grande imprensa – como O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo e a revista Veja, a autobiografia do autor, bem como entrevistas e depoimentos audiovisuais disponibilizados na internet. Tais fontes permitirão o delineamento do contexto histórico de exibição da obra, a percepção da imprensa a respeito da telenovela e o levantamento de outras informações relevantes sobre sua produção e veiculação.

This study has as mainly goal to analyze historically the ―O Bem Amado‖ telenovela, by Dias Gomes, integrality and by the first time exhibited in 1973 and, after in 1977, presented in compact version by Globo TV. In addition, this study search to know and comprehend the images and representations marked by the fiction-work in relation to the structural element and dynamic of the political and social Brazilian life, considering that they historically persists, in opposition to the intended modernizer process of the military regime, or just changed due to the regime. Thus, the study support the hypothesis that the images and critic representations of society and political Brazilian marked on the telenovela were possible, despite censorship, due to the convergence between agents of left political and liberal mindset on the critic to the military regime. The mentioned convergence can knew and analyzed having as guideline the main relations between Dias Gomes and Globo TV in terms of production and broadcasting of the ―O Bem-Amado‖ telenovela, as well as in terms of its form and content. The sources employed involve the telenovela DVD commercially available, the greatest Brazilian newspapers, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo, and Veja magazine, author‘s autobiography, as well as interviews and audiovisual testimonials offered by internet. These sources allow the lineation of historical context of the fiction-work, the media perception on the telenovela and identifier other information relevant about its production and broadcast.
