Revisitações homoeróticas e sensibilidades pós-modernas na ficção de Guilherme de Melo

Abstract

The aim of this essay is to offer a new angle on the novel A sombra dos dias [The shadow of the days] by Guilherme de Melo, published in 1981, stressing the homoerotic look on Mozambique's Colonial War and the Lourenço Marques society of the time, recreated her in another direction, revealing the scenarios and the behavior of that society. We propose a rereading of a not too distant past, which still has political and cultural effects on Portuguese society.

A partir do romance A sombra dos dias, publicado em 1981, de Guliherme de Melo, este ensio tem como objetivo apresentar uma via de leitura, sublinhando o olhar homoerótico, lançado sobre a guerra colonial em Moçambique, bem como sobre a sociedade lourenço-marquina da época, recriando-os agora num direcionamento outro, descortinando os cenários e os comportamentos da época. Sublinha-se, também, uma releitura de um passado bem próximo, cujos reflexos ainda podiam ser sentidos no universo político-cultural portugu~es em questão.
