dc.description.abstractImmunohistochemical studies on renal biopsies from eight patients with various types of glomerulonephritis showed that the interstitial foam cells belonged to the monocyte-macrophage lineage. There was a strong association between hypercholesterolaemia and the presence of renal interstitial foam cells.
