| dc.description | La construcción de ciudades en el Perú durante la temprana etapa virreinal estuvo dirigida a lograr establecer y estabilizar un vice reino en estas tierras, vasallo de un reino mayor. Es decir, la conquista militar de las nuevas tierras fue mucho menos importante que su conquista burocrática. A lo largo del siglo XVI se fueron colocando los pilares de un nuevo orden que respetaba y combinaba la realidad local con los intereses foráneos: se fundaban ciudades, se establecían leyes que los conquistadores tenían que respetar, se negociaba con los locales, entre otros. La fundación de la villa de Cañete es el ejemplo de caso para analizar lo señalado y entender el éxito y el por qué los casi trescientos años de un virreinato como el Perú. | |
| dc.description | Building cities in the early viceroyalty period in Perú had a target, to establish and to settle a vice kingdom in these lands, vassel of a kingdom. The rnilitary conquest was not a important as the burocratic one. During XVI century, the foundations of a new political order were created and it respected and combined the forrner reality and the new one: cities were settled, conquerors had to obey imperial laws and a constant dealing with the local population was established. The creation of Cañete "villa" is the excuse for analizing this historical process in order to understand the Spanish success in this land and why the Viceroyalty period la ted almost three hundred years. | |
