dc.description.abstract | Barnes’ A History of the World in ½ Chapters constructs an unconventional approach to history from the very beginning. The non-traditional narrative structure differs from the chronological narrative typical of history books, since this novelist´s account exposes different historical world events without following a definite timeline. Moreover, the novel has many different narrative voices which convey a different perception and experience of same events. This use of form indicates an unorthodox view of history. | |
