dc.description.abstractThe Environmental Impact Assessment for the construction and operation of the TermoAlmeida thermoelectric plant presented in the chapters one (1) to eleven (11) consists of a case study, carried out by the authors to obtain the degree of Specialists in the Evaluation Environmental Projects of the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. The construction and operation of the TermoAlmeida Power Plant is a hypothetical project, the designs and related activities were based on what was proposed in the Environmental Impact Study for the construction and operation of the AES Magdalena-Barrancabermeja Thermoelectric Power Plant. It evaluates the characteristics of the abiotic, biotic and socio-economic and cultural environments of the area of ​​influence of the Project and the potential effects that could occur in case of developing the construction and operation of the TermoAlmeida Power Plant in the territory. Although officially this assessment will not be presented to the National Authority of Environmental Licenses (ANLA), it contains all the necessary information to serve as an instrument of application for environmental licensing for the execution of the thermoelectric project.
