3-12 jmatheus@ula.ve calox588@hotmail.com darwin_1216@yahoo.es rocarolinaq@gmail.com Semestral Corn (Zea mays L.) crop response by application of organic fertilizers used in Trujillo state was evaluated in the Integral Production Unit, located at the University Campus “ Rafael Rangel”, Pampanito. A test was conducted in a randomized complete block that consisted of 6 treatments: T1: poultry manure, T2: goat manure , T3 : cattle manure
T4 : biofertilizer , T5 : chemical fertilizer and T6 : control; response was assessed
through the following variables: leaf area , stalk diameter , plant height , yield and
Relative Agronomic Efficiency. Evaluated fertilizers significantly influenced the variables considered as all outperformed the control; the poultry manure generated the best response even surpassing chemical treatment. The differences are attributed to the composition of these materials.
