| dc.description | El trabajo se pregunta por las diversas formas de relaciones sociales, políticas, económicas simbólicas y territoriales en el municipio de Monguí, departamento de Boyacá en Colombia. De manera descriptiva, se pretende un acercamiento al baile de San Pascual Bailón, la manera cómo los campesinos han argumentado la permanecía de dicho fenómeno y cómo han logrado que se permeé a partir de la tradición y de las costumbres transmitidas desde el lecho familiar. También se muestra la tensión de dicha práctica con la forma evangelizadora de la iglesia. | |

| dc.description | This paper explores various forms of social relationships in their political, economic, symbolic and territorial aspects in the district of Mongui in Boyaca Country, Colombia. It aims to describe a dance ritual called the Dance of Saint Pascual; to discuss how the local peasants argue the perpetuation of the tradition of this ritual, and how families insist on their traditions and imbedded customs. Th ere is also a discussion of the tension between the Church and those who hold the tenets of the traditional practice. | |
