dc.descriptionDebido a los cambios en la estructura del poder internacional de la postguerra, se manifi esta una nueva conciencia de los pueblos de las antiguas colonias, la cual se verá expresada en la Conferencia de Bandung (1955); dándose la posibilidad de una reinterpretación de la historia mundial. Intelectuales de las ex-colonias, artistas, fi lósofos, poetas y novelistas, integrados en los países industrializados, refl ejan en sus obras distintos niveles de una compleja y original compresión del mundo globalizado. Léopold Sedar Senghor y Salman Rushdie son representantes de dos concepciones, aunque antagónicas entre sí, de esta nueva visión mundial.

dc.descriptionDue to the postwar changes in the international power structure there emerged a new self-confi dence in the colonized world during the Bandung Conference (1955), which gave rise to the possibility of a new interpretation of world history. Intellectuals from the ex-colonies, artists, philosophers, poets and novelists, who are integrated in the industrialized world, refl ect in their works diff erent levels of a new and more complete understanding of the globalized world. Leopold Sedar Senghor and Salman Rushdie represent two opposed concepts of this new worldview.
