dc.descriptionEl artículo aborda temas de la geografía escolar, desarrollando argumentos a favor de una geografía crítica dirigida para la formación de ciudadanos críticos y participativos. Para ello, el texto presenta orientaciones didácticas para la enseñanza de la geografía, destacando la que se refiere a la formación de conceptos, porque entiende que ese es un reto muy importante en propuestas comprometidas con el crecimiento intelectual, social y emocional de los alumnos. El texto presenta a la continuación aportes respecto a reflexiones teórico-metodológicas de la ciencia geográfica en la contemporaneidad, al trabajo docente en geografía y las demandas de la formación del profesorado para que ellos cumplan objetivos de la enseñanza.

To do this, the text presents teaching guidelines for the teaching of geography, emphasizing its relation to the formation of concepts, because it understands that this is a major challenge in proposals committed to the intellectual, social and emotional development of students. The following text presents the contributions regarding theoretical and methodological reflections of contemporary geographical science, geography teacher work and the demands of teacher education so that they can meet learning objectives.
