dc.descriptionEl presente estudio pretende indagar sobre cómo ha impactado la vigencia de leyes de cuotas en la composición (representación descriptiva o política de la presencia) en dos casos nacionales – México y Argentina – y comparar los resultados con otros dos países en los que no hay ninguna legislación que potencie la presencia de la mujer en la arena parlamentaria – Chile y Uruguay. Se investiga la labor específica de los legisladores (representación sustantiva o política de la diferencia) en relación con los ámbitos sectoriales de interés para las nuevas representantes, así como el impacto que el aumento del contingente femenino ha tenido sobre la agenda política y, específicamente, sobre la agenda de género y las políticas de igualdad. dc.descriptionThis study seeks to examine how the composition quotas has impacted the existing laws (descriptive representation or presence politics) in two national cases? Mexico and Argentina? and to compare the results with two other countries were there is no legislation that allows the presence of women in the parliamentary arena? Chile and Uruguay. The specific work of the legislators is examined (substantive representation or politics of difference) in relation to sectorial enviroments which are of interest for the new representatives, as well as the impact of the increase of the the feminine segment on the political agenda, specifically, on the gender agenda and equality politics.en-US
