| dc.description | In spite of the expression "marginalist revolution" can be of knowed use In History of Economics Thinking' manuals, a study about the evolution of economics ideas in the second half of nineteen century shows that the seventy years' period of this century don't result a breaking point with old tradition to justify the use of the word "revolution". What happening with the publication of Jevons, Monger and Walras' books, between the 1871 and 1874 years, was the articulation of a tradition that was developmenting in scattering books since the thirties years. This tradition is recognised by the use of marginalist calculus and the utility concept. Additionally, two others arguments are used in the events' interpretation: the "dehomogenizing" thesis of this authors contributions and the idea of impossibility of synthesis between this theories and the classical school. | en-US |
| dc.description | Embora a expressão "revolução marginalista" seja de uso consagrado nos livros-texto de História do Pensamento Econômico, um estudo da evolução das idéias econômicas na segunda metade do século XIX Indica que o período dos anos setenta daquele século não representou uma ruptura com a tradição anterior que justifique o emprego do termo "revolução". O que se verificou com a publicação das obras de Jevons, Monger e Walras, entre os anos de 1871 e 1874, foi a articulação de uma tradição que já vinha desenvolvendo-se em trabalhos dispersos desde a década de trinta. Tal tradição caracteriza-se pelo emprego do cálculo marginalista e da noção de utilidade. Além disso, dois outros argumentos são usados na interpretação desses eventos, a tese da "desomogenização" das contribuições desses autores e a idéia de impossibilidade de uma síntese entre essas teorias e a velha escola clássica. | pt-BR |
