dc.descriptionEste trabajo tiene como objetivo describir las principales características de la política fiscal venezolana en los últimos quince años, y explorar los determinantes de la recaudación no petrolera de la economía venezolana durante el mismo período. Se organiza de la siguiente manera: después de un texto introductorio, en la segunda sección se describen las características de la política fiscal en Venezuela que están más relacionadas con la búsqueda de los elementos que contribuyen a explicar la recaudación tributaria no petrolera. En la tercera sección se escudriña, con cierto detalle, la recaudación tributaria no petrolera y sus principales determinantes macroeconómicas. A final se presentan algunas conclusiones.

dc.descriptionThe purpose of this paper is to describe the main characteristics of the Venezuelan fiscal policy in the last fifteen years, and explore the determinants of taxation of Venezuelan economy during the same period. It is organized in the following manner: after an introductory text, in the second section it is described the characteristics of the fiscal policy in Venezuela which are more related with the seeking of the elements which contributes to explain the non-oil taxation. In the third section it is inquired, with certain detail, the non-oil taxation and its main macroeconomics determinants. Finally, it is presented several conclusions.
