dc.descriptionLos estudios de seguridad en el mundo han tomado importancia a causa de los problemas intermésticos1 creados por las relaciones de interdependencia entre los Estados, como son: la migración, el crimen trasnacional, el lavado de dinero, terrorismos, tráfico de personas, narcotráfico, etc. Ahora es necesario analizar la obsesión por la seguridad que lleva a los países a crear doctrinas, panópticos e instrumentos para preservarla. Este es el caso de la región de América del Norte, donde se han venido construyendo proyectos con el fin de impulsar una integración institucional, como lo es: el TLCAN plus y el ASPAN. Pero dichos proyectos han tenido como eje articulador la seguridad más que la prosperidad. Una seguridad que conlleva la cooperación, como es el caso de la Iniciativa Mérida entre México y Estados Unidos, lleva implícitas lógicas de poder y decisiones en materia de política exterior que giran en torno a Estados Unidos.

dc.descriptionThe studies of security in the world have become important because of the intermestic problems created by the interrelationships of interdependence between states, such as: migration, transnational crime, money laundering, terrorism, traffic of persons, drug trafficking, etc. It is now necessary to analyze the security obsession that leads countries to create doctrines, panoptic and tools to preserve it. This is the case of the North American region, where they have been building projects in order to promote institutional integration, as it is, plus NAFTA and the Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America. However, in these projects the central point has been just security rather than prosperity. A security that leads to cooperation, such as the Merida Initiative, between Mexico and the United States has power logics and decisions on foreign policy revolve around the United States.
