27.9, 28.5 y 29.9%, respectivamente. 3-18 uribe.gabriel@inifap.gob.mx jcpetita@ula.ve dzib.roberto@inifap.gob.mx In Yucatan state an area of 1.197,052 hectares of Alfisol soils (Chac-lu’ um Mayan nomenclature) is considered, with good
productive potential, but requires chemical fertilizer use for obtaining good yields. By means of biofertilizers is possible to reduce chemical fertilizers use, therefore the main objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of biofertilizers in the yield and growth of maize in rainfall conditions and slash and burn system (migratory agriculture). Evaluations were carried out during fi ve years and four variables were observed: height of plant, days of masculine fl ower, foliar area and grain yield. The height of plant presented similar behavior when biofertilizers are applied and the
chemical fertilizer is used. Comparable situation appeared with days of masculine fl ower, in treatments Azospirillum,
Azospirillum + mycorrhiza, mycorrhiza + Brassinoesteroids and Azospirillum + mycorrhiza + Brassinoesteroids. The highest and statistically different yields with the use of Azospirillum, Azospirillum + mycorrhiza and Azospirillum + mycorrhiza +
Brassinoesteroids, were obtained and do better than the treatment of chemical fertilization in 4.8, 6.5 and 5, 3% and to the absolute witness in 27.9, 28.5 and 29, 9%, respectively.Key words: Maize, mycorrhiza, Azospirillum brasilense,
