It is shown that Aleksandrov's mean for the effective linear conductivity of multiphase conductors is exact for a class of material systems with two-dimensional isotropic microstructures. The systems are constructed by sucessive use of iterated dilute homogenization. The result provides a more rigorous basis for the use of Aleksandrov's mean to estimate effective properties.
