Resumen
An application that uses ZigBee modules to transmit signals of ECG (Electrocardiogram), Intraventricular Pressure (IVP) and Intraventricular Volume (IVV) from a Conductance Catheter System (CCS) is presented. Wireless interface is developed using ZigBee modules. One of these modules ('COORDINATOR') is connected to a PC and receives signals from the remote module. The last, confi gured as an 'END DEVICE', collects signals from the digital CCS. Data including biomedical signals are previously processed using a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device. ZigBee technology ensures robust communication with very low power consumption, a feature that makes it suitable for implantable biomedical devices.
