dc.description.abstractThis essay opens the series of 12 pieces published by the American Anthropological Association in regards to the issues of social solidarity economies. It discusses the current issues under debate on the field presenting different perspectives and urging anthropologists to work with other disciplines in order to encompass the wide range of topics that arise when analyzing social solidarity economies as a whole.
