Resumen
Fictions constitute narratives that represent an exercise of identity construction, which leads us to the fact of understanding identity as a constant construction in discourse. In this sense, we understand that the experiences of ´Korean women´ have changed as a product of modernization regarding the senses and meanings that are articulated in filmic fiction territories. With this in mind, first we develop a brief review that defines the imaginary cinematographic of the New Korean Cinema. Then, we display a thematic and analytical lecture of the selected films attending the narrative interests and ways of representing regarding the experiences of women, which are part of a complex social process that tends to pluralism and cultural diversity. We reflect upon ´women of fiction´ -from a discursive and symbolic conception of the subjects- leading us to the ´historical woman´, and inviting us to (re)think the constitution of female identity in Korea from the particularity that it assumes in the field of the cinematographic representation.
