El Jardín maternal y su función desde una perspectiva relacional

Abstract

Frecuentemente los Jardines Maternales comparten con la familia los cuidados de bebés. Esta realidad nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Resulta precoz la concurrencia de bebés a instituciones educativas antes de los tres meses? y ¿cuál es su función durante los primeros años de vida?. Para delinear respuestas presentamos un recorte de resultados de investigación, focalizado en la dimensión relacional del proceso de separación, de bebés menores de tres meses. La recolección del material se realizó mediante el Método de Observación de Lactantes (Bick, 1948) y la filmación de las observaciones, luego se construyeron categorías de análisis. En concordancia con los desarrollos teóricos vigentes y el material empírico, consideramos que las intervenciones deben girar en torno a la legislación laboral, los aspectos organizacionales y las modalidades vinculares.

Frequently the kindergartens share with the family, the early care of babies. This reality took us to the next question: It´s premature the attendance of babies to kindergartens before the three months of life? And, what’s the function of these institutions in the first years of life? In order to answer these questions we introduce a fragment of the results from a field study, focused in the relationship dimension of the splitting process, of babies’ minors of three months. Material was recollected with the Babies Observation Method (Bick, 1948) and the filming of the observations, and then analysis categories were built. Consistent with the current theoretical developments and the empirical material, we consider that the interventions should revolve around the job legislation, the organizational aspects and the relationship modalities.
