Resumen
Our expanding knowledge of the control of follicular wave dynamics during bovine estrous cycle has resulted in new prospects of precisely controlling the occurrence of estrus and ovulation. Follicular wave development and ovulation can be synchronized by treatments with prostaglandin and GnRH or a combination of estradiol and progestogen/progesterone. Synchronization protocols dramatically improve reproductive success by offering the possibility of planning the application of assisted reproductive technologies and allowing producers to breed more cattle in less time
