dc.description.abstractThis report contains the results of the creation of a cost control tool developed by Microsoft Access ®, the results that are possible to obtain by making use of it and a brief description of the use and handling of the tool are presented. The tool is used in the bridge rehabilitation project on the Sarapiquí River, National Route # 4 consists of an intervention of sub and super structure, however the activities discussed are reinforcing steel, the project creating access and conditioning and protection of a slope. The developed tool allows the engineer in charge of the project in different fields of construction meet the actual cost of the activities carried out, the material still has, among others, so you can take decisions that are required on the course of the project. The use of the tool for future projects allows the engineer to know indirectly yields, costs and project delivery times, so also will allow you foresee them in the best way in upcoming projects.
