dc.description.abstractThe practice of specialty to opt for High school degree in Engineering in Electronic was carried out in the Centro de Producción Río Macho, in Orosi, Paraíso, county of Cartago. The same one consisted on the modernization of the takings Pejibaye and Tapantí. In the prey Pejibaye of it designed and it installed a control based on a Programmable Logical Controller (PLC), in charge of monitorear and to operate the floodgates and bombs installed in this prey. In Tapantí it settled a visualization screen and digital control (HMI), to operate from there the prey Pejibaye. It was also designed the control for the prey Tapantí. This work was obtained a PLC of the company Altus, the QK801 of the Quark series, which is the central point of the project, and it helped to fulfill all the objectives of the project. Inside the programming adverse situations of operation were contemplated, as the fact that the floodgate 1 that works with pulleys, lose position and it should enter in recovery state. However it is made the recommendation here of conditioning in a better way the state of the different systems that they move the floodgates, in order to counteract up to where it is possible the great quantity of humidity that at the present time deteriorates this systems.
