| dc.description | This research is aimed to identify prevalent types of family support which have been perceived by users in Peritoneal Dialysis Continuous Ambulatory treatment (PDCA) of the Hospital “Victor Lazarte Echegaray”. A descriptive study about family support, based on the collection of data to identify and define the characteristics of the types of perceived family support for the 57 members of PDCA receiving treatment, was performed. At the same time, techniques of observation, structured and unstructured interview, questionnaires, records observations and interviews were used for the data collection, as instruments. The reliability of the instrument was achieved by selecting a pilot sample selecting the analysis unit which has similar characteristics to the study sample. As results, we get that the familiar type of prevalent support in users in PDCA treatment is the informational support, represented by 81.4%, which was characterized by strengthening recommendations by health team members of the family. The second type of prevalent support was emotional support, where the prevailing feature of emotional support, represented by the 89.5%, was the emotional intervention that the family does so that the users feel better in moments of depression, and finally the instrumental support, where the main feature which was represented by 98.2% was the direct help to comply the recommendations given by the health team, This help relates to the treatment process which must be practiced in their homes without forgetting the care of food and medication. | |
| dc.description | Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar los tipos de apoyo familiar prevalentes percibidos por usuarios/as en tratamiento de Diálisis Peritoneal Ambulatoria Continua (DIPAC) del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal sobre el apoyo familiar, basado en la recolección de datos para identificar y definir las características de los tipos de apoyo familiar percibidos por los 57 usuarios/as que reciben tratamiento de DIPAC. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron las técnicas de observación y entrevista, estructurada y no estructurada, así como el cuestionario y registros de observaciones y entrevistas como instrumentos. La confiabilidad del instrumento se logró mediante una muestra piloto seleccionando a la unidad de análisis con características similares a la muestra del estudio. Como resultados tenemos que el tipo de apoyo familiar prevalente en los/las usuarios/as en tratamiento de DIPAC es el apoyo informacional, representado por un 81.4%, el cual se caracterizó por el refuerzo de las recomendaciones equipo de salud por parte de los miembros de la familia. El segundo tipo de apoyo familiar prevalente fue el apoyo emocional, donde la característica prevalente del apoyo emocional, representada por un 89.5%, fue la intervención afectiva que la familia realiza para que los/las usuarios/as se sientan mejor en momentos de depresión y, finalmente el apoyo instrumental, donde la característica principal que estuvo representada por un 98.2% fue la ayuda directa para llevar a cabo las recomendaciones dadas por el equipo de salud, esta ayuda se refiere al proceso del tratamiento que deben de llevar a cabo en sus hogares y los cuidados en alimentación y medicación. | |
