| dc.description | Determine the relationship of nutritional status in children aged 1,3 and 6 months of age who received exclusive and mixed breastfeeding. Material and methods: A cross-sectional, comparative, descriptive study was conducted at the MCH center Moche Saint Lucia during the period from January to March 2014. We worked with 150 children from 6 months of age, who met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. 75 children formed the group of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) and 75 the Joint Nursing (LM), the data of weight and height of the 1st, 3rd and 6th month of registration office Data Growth and development were taken child and indices weight/age (W/A), height/age (H/A) and weight/size (W/S) which were compared with the standard score of nutritional assessment of the World Health Organization were calculated health to determine the nutritional status. | dc.description | Determinar la relación entre el estado nutricional en niños de 1, 3 y 6 meses de edad y el tipo de lactancia .Material y métodos: Se realizó un estudio transversal, comparativo, descriptivo en el centro materno infantil Santa Lucía de Moche durante el periodo Enero-Marzo 2014. Se trabajó con 150 niños de 6 meses de edad, los cuales cumplían con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. 75 niños formaron el grupo de Lactancia Materna exclusiva (LME) y 75 el de Lactancia Mixta (LM), se tomaron los datos de peso y talla del 1°, 3° y 6° mes del registro de datos del consultorio de Crecimiento y desarrollo del niño y se calcularon los índices Peso/Edad (P/E), Talla/Edad (T/E) y Peso/Talla (P/T) los cuales fueron comparados con el puntaje estándar de evaluación nutricional de la Organización Mundial de la Salud para determinar el estado nutricional. Resultados: el grupo de LME presenta una mayor frecuencia de valores normales en todos los índices (T/E, P/E y P/T). En el grupo de LM el índice T/E se encuentra un 13.3% con valores >+2DE al 6° mes; por P/T el 46.7% de niños tienen sobrepeso y un 12% son obesos al 6° mes. Existe una relación significativa para el índice P/T entre la lactancia materna y el estado nutricional según la prueba de chi-cuadrado. Conclusiones: -Existe una relación significativa entre el tipo de la lactancia y el estado nutricional para el índice P/T. Los niños que recibieron LM presentaron mayor frecuencia de obesidad y sobrepeso a comparación a os que recibieron LME | |
