A necessidade de se aproximar do mundo extra-tela é uma das principais premissas da televisão: programas jornalísticos, realities shows, documentários, programas apresentados ao vivo (transmissão direta) atestam essa relação entre TV e realismo, mesmo que obedeçam sutilmente a regras do melodrama. Com a ficção, o jogo se inverte e é o melodrama que se submete ao real. A minissérie Capitu é um enfrentamento a essa ordem, é um ponto de fuga que valoriza a ilusão em detrimento do parecer ser verdadeiro. O cerne deste estudo é a questão da verossimilhança. Acompanho o percurso histórico que tornou hegemônico o realismo/ naturalismo na ficção televisiva brasileira. Apresento o antiilusionismo como possibilidade criativa para que a ficção se autonomize do real. Investigo a aproximação com outras linguagens como expansão dos limites estéticos para a televisão. Por último, traço as linhas coincidentes entre o neobarroco, a teoria do imaginário e a transposição do Dom Casmurro de Machado de Assis para a tela pelo diretor Luiz Fernando Carvalho.CAPESThe need to be similar to the extra screen world is one of the main premises of television: news programs, realities shows, documentaries, live transmissions attest the relationship between TV and realism, even if it subtly obey the melodrama rules. In fiction world, the game is reversed and is the melodrama that undergoes real. The miniseries Capitu is a facing of this order, is a vanishing point that enhances the illusion over the realism. The core of this study is the question of the verisimilitude. I follow the historic route that made hegemonic the aesthetics of realism / naturalism in Brazilian television fiction. I present the antiilusionism perspective as a creative possibility for fiction. Then, I go to investigate the approach to other languages as an alternative enlarge the limits of television´s aesthetic. Finally, I trace the matching rows between the neo-baroque, the imaginary theory and the transposition of Machado de Assis´Dom Casmurro to the screen by director Luiz Fernando Carvalho.
