| dc.description | Análise do sindicalismo nos anos 1990 e a reorganização da luta social a partir da experiência
dos metalúrgicos e ferroviários no Maranhão. Caracteriza-se o capitalismo contemporâneo,
enfatizando a crise estrutural que o assola desde os anos 1970, o neoliberalismo, a
reestruturação produtiva e a financeirização, como mecanismos de enfrentamento a essa crise,
por parte do capital, que se configuraram numa ofensiva ao trabalho em todo o mundo.
Ressalta-se, nos anos 1990, o ressurgimento de lutas populares, transclassistas,
antiglobalização, anticapitalistas, etc. como reação à ofensiva do capital. Discute-se, a partir de
autores como Marx e Engels, Lênin, Luxemburgo e Trotski como historicamente foi construída
a luta dos trabalhadores, particularmente a relação sindicato/partido/ movimento de massas,
segundo cada estágio das forças produtivas. Aborda-se a luta organizada dos trabalhadores
brasileiros, sintonizada com o desenvolvimento capitalista nesse país, ressaltando o
protagonismo do movimento sindical nos anos 1980, bem como a crise e refluxo nos anos 1990,
face à reestruturação industrial e a reforma do Estado. Analisam-se as lutas sindicais no
Maranhão, especialmente de ferroviários e metalúrgicos, destacando sua constituição, a partir
dos anos 1980, com a industrialização desencadeada com o Projeto Grande Carajás, suas lutas
e conquistas no período. Enfatiza-se o refluxo nos anos 1990, com a reestruturação industrial
(ALUMAR) e a privatização da CVRD, que geraram a terceirização, a precarização e a
fragmentação do trabalho e impactaram e nas lutas sindicais, provocando modificações na
forma de ser dessas entidades. Verifica-se ainda, a partir das tendências de sua ação atual, em
que medida estes sindicatos se articulam com outros movimentos sociais e como respondem
aos desafios postos pela complexidade do capitalismo contemporâneo. | |

| dc.description | This research analyses the labor union in the present context. So, in the beginning it makes a
characterization of the contemporary capitalism, emphasizing the structural crisis that devastate
it since the years 1970 and the Neoliberalism, the productive restructuring and the financial
support, as a facing mechanism of this crisis, by the capital, that configure it as an offensive
for work around the world. It shows, in 1990, the resurgence of popular, tranclass,
antiglobalization, anticapitalist political movements, etc, as a reaction to the capital offensive.
It discusses, based on authors like Marx and Engels, Lênin, Luxemburgo and Trotski, how it
was historically constructed the workers political movements, particularly the connections
labor/political party/mass movement, according to each level of the productive force. It deals
with the brazilian workers organized movement in connection to the capitalism development
in this country, showing the protagonism of the syndical movement in the years 1980, as well
as the crisis and reflow in 90’s, considering the industrial restructuring and the state reform. It
analyses the syndical political movements in Maranhão, especially the railwaymen and
metallurgist ones, pointing out its constitution, since the year 1980, throughout the
industrialization that have started with the Grande Carajás Project, its political movement and
conquest at that time. It emphasizes the reflow in the years 1990, throughout the industrial
restructuring (ALUMAR) and the privatization of (CVRD), that created the outsourcing, the
precariousness and the work fragmentation and impacted on the syndical political movements,
causing changes in the way of how these corporations used to work. It verifies still, considering
the trends of its actual configuration, how the labor union articulate themselves with another
social movements and how they answer to the challengers that come together with the
contemporary capitalism complexity. | |
