dc.descriptionResumo: Esta dissertação busca analisar o percurso de um jovem afásico brasileiro, denominado GF, aprendendo a língua japonesa. O acompanhamento longitudinal se deu em sessões individuais no Centro de Convivência de Afásicos (CCA/UNICAMP) e toma como base os princípios teóricos e metodológicos da Neurolinguística Discursiva (ND), proposta por Coudry (1986/1988). Na perspectiva teórica da ND, o sujeito afásico perde a familiaridade com a língua e com o seu uso (COUDRY, 2010). No entanto, na relação com seu interlocutor, acontecem outras possibilidades de dizer que se apresentam como processos alternativos (COUDRY, 1986/1988), tais como a fala que lhe resta, os gestos, a escrita, os desenhos ou a mímica. Esses processos revelam a atuação da neuroplasticidade cerebral (LURIA, 1977) na reconstrução linguístico-cognitiva, isto é, áreas adjacentes às lesionadas podem assumir parte do papel atribuído a elas, o que só ocorre em ambiente discursivo. Desta forma, foi realizada a experiência de aprender japonês como uma prática de linguagem que poderia ter um efeito na reconstrução de língua materna (L1) de GF. Para tanto, foram desenvolvidas atividades de japonês pela pesquisadora e adaptadas às necessidades do sujeito, considerando seu quadro afásico. Como resultado, foi observado que o contato com uma língua bastante diferente da sua língua materna fez com que GF utilizasse um raciocínio intelectual também diferente, potencializando um vai e vem entre os dois hemisférios cerebrais, focalizando tanto aspectos verbais (hemisfério esquerdo) quanto aspectos espaciais ou visuais (hemisférios direito e esquerdo) das duas línguas que se inter-relacionam. Tal experiência resultou em um trabalho linguístico-cognitivo produtivo, a partir do qual GF produziu sentidos verbais e não verbais, reconheceu as suas dificuldades, dando-nos pistas sobre os processos em curso. Isso nos permitiu intervir, compreender suas dificuldades e encorajá-lo a enfrentar novos aprendizados
dc.descriptionAbstract: This work aims at analyzing the process of a young Brazilian aphasic, referred to as GF, learning the Japanese language. This longitudinal follow-up was conducted in individual sessions at Centro de Convivência de Afásicos (CCA/UNICAMP) and it is based on the theoretical and methodological principles of Discoursive Neurolinguistics (DN), proposed by Coudry (1986/1988). In the theoretical perspective of DN, the aphasic subject looses its familiarity with the language and its use (COUDRY, 2010). However, in the interaction with an interlocutor, other possibilities for communication arise as alternative processes (COUDRY, 1986/1988) such as the remaining speech, gestures, writing, drawings or mimics. Theses processes reveal the role of the neuroplasticity (LURIA, 1977) in the linguistic-cognitive reconstruction, which means that areas adjacent to the brain¿s lesions can play a part in the functions that were assigned to the lesion¿s area, however it can occur only in a discoursive context. Thus, it has been conducted an experiment of learning Japanese as a language practice, which could have some effect on the reconstruction of the mother tongue (L1) of GF. In order to that, Japanese activities that were developed by the researcher have been employed and adapted according to the subject¿s needs, taking into consideration his aphasic condition. As a result, it was observed that the contact with a language quite different from his mother tongue has caused GF to use a different intellectual reasoning, which involves a back and forth movement between the two cerebral hemispheres, focusing on both verbal aspects (left hemisphere) and spatial or visual aspects (right and left hemispheres) of the two languages that are interrelated. This experience has resulted in a positive linguistic-cognitive work, from which GF has produced verbal and non-verbal meaning, moreover he has recognized his own difficulties which has given us clues about the ongoing processes. It has allowed us to intervene as well as understand his difficulties in order to encourage him to face a new learning
