Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) Experimental and simulated results of an amplified electro-optical spatial switch using pre-emphasis techniques are presented. A symmetrical thin-film resistor replaces the typical 47 Omega resistor used to match the impedance between the device (3 Omega) and the transmission lines (50 Omega), allowing fast injection of pre-impulse and step currents in a semiconductor optical amplifier.
