Resumen
The present paper aims at reflecting how the Social Sciences field and, especially, Sociology instrumentalize for debating gender, sexuality and sexual diversity in high school. At first, we present the still recent context of the last implementation of Sociology in brazilian High School and some proposals for aproximating teaching, research and extension, in addition to proposing a dynamicity that connects the Sociology teacher of basic school levels, not only to theories learned in higher education levels, but to the reality in which the teacher is inserted. At second, we problematize an experience of university extension aimed at teaching education in gender and sexuality. 6 1 119 132
