dc.descriptionAfter the end of the World War II and the series of catastrophes in the 20th century, it sought to preserve the survivor's reports to think over what was before unthinkable. The literature, in specially, in the trauma representation balance of need and impossibility, found in the testimony his finest example. In Brazilian context, after the military coup, it wasn't different; it appeared lots of testimonies in the attempt to "narrate the unspeakable". Fifty years after, nowadays, the literature stills tries to understand the lived period. Therefore, this intervention aims to revisit the concept of testimony trough an intertextual and interdiscursive reading of two literary texts, Nao falei, de Beatriz Bracher, e K. - relato de uma busca, de Bernardo Kucinski, debating the concept of testimony facing a temporal distance, its forms to reflect trauma, its needs - event under the failure sign -, as well the relations of those texts with others, literary or not, focusing also in the historical and cultural context and other theoretical propositions of other knowledge areas, such as History, Education, Politics, Psychoanalyses. Both works contribute to revisit the concept and present different interpretations, yet complementary, of the testimony notion.
