O objetivo do trabalho é investigar se o sincretismo desses casos, marcados geralmente com um traço nasal à direita do sintagma nominal, é resultado de processos de gramaticalização dos casos (nominais) locativo e instrumental e derivação dos casos ((pro)nominais) genitivo e ergativo. Com base nos princípios básicos da Linguística Tipológica-Funcional, apresento uma proposta de descrição formal e funcional de cada morfema casual e uma comparação tipológica das construções desse sincretismo de casos. A princípio, a introdução é apresentada e então, no segundo capítulo, a comparação dos casos locativo e gentivo é realizada, seguida da análise dos casos instrumental e ergativo no terceiro capítulo, e a conclusão. Os resultados gerais descrevem que as funções locativas e possessivas dos morfemas monossilábicos referentes a partes dos corpo indicam a presença de um possuidor em função de objeto, sem marcação morfológica de caso. Nesse sentido, com a gramaticalização desses morfemas monossilábicos, descrevo que a fonte de origem do caso genitivo envolve o morfema benefactivo, com a função de indicar o destino (possuidor) de uma referência (possuído). Por fim, o estudo descreve a lexicalização do sufixo nominalizador instrumental e os processos de reanálise de casos oblíquos que resultaram na gramaticalização do caso ergativoAbstract: This thesis presents the grammaticalization of ergative, instrumental, genitive (and locative) syncretism in matis and in a group of Pano languages. The objective of this study is to investigate whether the syncretism of these cases, generally marked with the nasal feature at the right of the noun phrase, is a result of grammaticalization processeses of locative and instrumental (nominal) cases and derivation of genitive and ergative ((pro)nominal) cases. Based on the basic principles of Typological-Functional Linguistics, I propose a formal e functional description of each casual morpheme and a typological comparison of the constructions of this case syncretism. At first, the introduction is presented and then the comparison of locative and genitive cases is performed in the second chapter, followed by the analysis of the instrumental and ergative cases in the third chapter, so the conclusion. The general results describe that the locative and possessive functions of the monosyllabic morphemes referring to bodyparts indicate the presence of a possessor in object function, without morphological case-marking. In this sense, based on the grammaticalization of these monosyllabic morphemes, I describe that the source of the genitive case is a benefactive morpheme that indicates the destination (possessor) of a reference (possessee).
