| dc.description | This paper aims to discuss the subjective experience of using psychotropic drugs from the perspective of people diagnosed with schizophrenia. This is a qualitative study, with a hermeneutic or interpretative phenomenological base, that resulted from analyzing narratives produced in focus groups. It concludes that the experience of drug users is diverse and important, and should be included in the decision-making process as to their drug treatment, in which the subject must be central. © 2009 University Association for Research in Fundamental Psychopathology. | |
