O estudo abrange desde as interpretações realizadas pelos contemporâneos aos fatos como aquelas produzidas nas últimas décadas. Este trabalho tem como núcleo compreender a constituição de um novo paradigma sobre a história brasileir~ a partir das criticas aos modelos da revolução nacional burgue~ formulada ao longo dos anos 50. A nova interpretação se insere numa corrente historiográfica reformista que teve como objetivo central, negar à Revolução de 1930 o status de uma Revolução Burguesa. Esta tese busca a análise crítica deste modelo, apontando para a sua incapacidade de reconhecer os setores populares como legítimos atores da nossa históriaAbstract: The objective of this thesis is to analyze the historiography that was produced about the Revo1ution of 1930. The study embraces ftom the interpretations accomplished by the contemporaries to the facts as those produced in the last decades. This work has as nucleus to understand the constitution of a new paradigm on the Brazilian history, starting from the critics to the models of the bourgeois national revolution, formulated along the fifties. The new interpretation interferes in a current refonnist historiography that had as central objective, to deny to the Revolution of 1930 the status of a Bourgeois Revolution.
