| dc.description | Resumo: O presente trabalho analisa a mudança no emprego de preposição em fronteiras sentenciais de completivas finitas na língua portuguesa. O objetivo do estudo é descrever o estatuto de tal construção, correlacionando a ocorrência de completivas preposicionadas às normas linguísticas vigentes em diferentes sincronias da língua. Para isso, parte-se do pressuposto de que as completivas sentenciais finitas surgiram na língua sem preposição e que o uso de tais nexos foi introduzido posteriormente, constituindo, portanto, uma inovação. A hipótese de trabalho é que tal inovação tenha ocorrido artificialmente, isto é, tenha sido introduzida por pressão normativa de textos modelares escritos por pessoas eruditas e/ou de textos metalinguísticos. Na análise, são adotados os postulados do Funcionalismo linguístico, entendendo¿se que a língua desempenha funções e que tais funções têm direta relação com fatores sociais, que, por sua vez, desempenham papel central na determinação de estruturas e de sistemas linguísticos. No estudo quantitativo, são avaliados fatores linguísticos e extralinguísticos, e os resultados são cotejados com abonações encontradas em gramáticas de diferentes períodos, assim como comparados à prática de escrita dos gramáticos, ou seja, os dados são avaliados à luz das normas subjetiva e objetiva vigentes em diferentes períodos da língua, a fim de se estabelecer o estatuto das completivas sentenciais finitas (des)preposicionadas em língua portuguesa. O trabalho se encontra dividido em cinco partes: o primeiro capítulo traz o delineamento do fenômeno estudado e apresenta alguns trabalhos importantes sobre o tema. O segundo capítulo é dedicado à fundamentação teórica e à apresentação da metodologia. No terceiro, é percorrido o trajeto de nascimento da gramática, bem como de alguns pontos importantes na constituição da norma linguística. Ainda neste capítulo, são apresentadas definições de complementação sentencial e de preposição. O quarto capítulo traz os resultados da pesquisa e a correlação entre os resultados das práticas linguísticas e a elaboração metalinguística encontrada nos manuais pesquisados, ou seja, são correlacionadas as normas objetiva e subjetiva. | dc.description | Abstract: The present work analyzes the change of preposition employment in finite completive clauses in Portuguese. The aim of the study is to describe the status of such construction, correlating the occurrence of the prepositional completive clauses to the language standardization in different synchronicities of the language. To do this, we assume that finite completive clauses appeared without preposition, and that the use of such nexus was introduced later, thus constituting an innovation. The hypothesis is that such innovation has taken place artificially, that is, it has been introduced by regulatory pressure from exemplary texts written by erudite people, and/or from metalinguistic texts. In the analysis, we adopted the postulates of the linguistic functionalism, understanding that the language performs functions, and that these functions are directly related to social factors that in turn play a central role in determining structures and linguistic systems. In the quantitative study we evaluate linguistic and extra linguistic factors, and the results are compared with the accreditations found in grammars from different periods, as compared to the practice of writing of the grammarians, that is, the data is evaluated in the light of the subjective and objective standards current in different periods of the language, in order to establish the status of finite sentential completive (un) prepositional in Portuguese. The work is divided into five parts: the first chapter brings the design of the studied phenomenon and presents some important papers on the topic. The second chapter is devoted to theoretical basis and to the presentation of the methodology. In the third chapter, the birth of the grammar path is covered, as well as some important points in the constitution of the linguistic norm. In this chapter we also present definitions for sentence completion and for preposition. The fourth chapter brings the research results and the correlation between the results of linguistic practices and the metalinguistic formulation found in the researched manuals, that is to say, the objective and subjective standards are correlated.
