Para isso, realizamos uma leitura da fortuna crítica desta obra, considerando os seus principais estudiosos. Existe um dilema na fortuna crítica deste livro em relação a sua classificação estilística, isto é, não há uma concordância no que diz respeito à ligação de O Ateneu com o naturalismo. Pretende-se com esse trabalho reavaliar a posição ocupada pelo livro de Raul Pompéia dentro da história literária brasileira, analisando as principais ideias em torno da obra | |
| dc.description | Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship of the novel The Athenaeum (1888), by Raul Pompéia, with naturalism. To do this, we made a reading of the critical fortune of this work, considering its leading scholars. There is a dilemma in the critical fortune of this book in relation to its stylistic classification, i.e., there is no agreement regarding the connection of The Athenaeum with naturalism.
