Nossa proposta de trabalho consiste em apresentar uma releitura das inserções parentéticas, focalizando dois aspectos: a caracterização desses enunciados como elementos que, ao revelarem o Outro na seqüência do discurso, constituem uma forma de heterogeneidade mostrada, e a descrição das funções metaenunciativas desempenhadas por tais enunciados. A caracterização das inserções como uma marca da heterogeneidade mostrada é feita, com base, por um lado, numa releitura devidamente instrumentada nas intuições que tematizam a natureza enunciativa dessas estruturas lingüísticas em três modalidades de estudos: a gramática normativa, a gramática descritiva e a lingüística textual; e, por outro lado, na noção de heterogeneidade enunciativa desenvolvida por Authier-Revuz. A descrição das figuras metaenunciativas que caracterizam as inserções parentéticas, por sua vez, é feita levando em consideração as heterogeneidades que atravessam o sujeito, o discurso e o sentidoAbstract: In our current research, the subject of parenthetic insertions is studied from an enunciative point of view. The basic theme of our study involves a reinterpretation of the subject of parenthetic insertions, emphasizing two aspects: a characterization of these expressions as elements that, revealing the Other in the sequence of the discourse, constitute a form of demonstrated heterogeneity, and a description of the meta-enunciative functions employed by these expressions. A characterization of the insertions as an indication of demonstrated heterogeneity is based, on one hand, on a reinterpretation properly grounded in the intuitions that deal with the enunciative nature of these linguistic structures in three modalities of studies: normative grammar, descriptive grammar and textual linguistics; and, on the other hand, in the concept of enunciative heterogeneity elaborated by Authier-Revuz.
