Resumen
Proechimys iheringi is an echimyid rodent which is known to occur from the state of Bahia to the state of Sao Paulo in eastern Brazil. Six subspecies were originally described, although most taxa within P. iheringi are known only from the type locality. In this note we add further distribution records for P. i. denigratus, P. i. paratus, and P. i. gratiosus and also comment on possible limits for the distribution of P. i. denigratus. 231 41671 21 23
