dc.description | This work describes a system for generation, acquisition and processing of ultrasonic signals to be used in material characterization. The system can be used in the pulse-echo and transmission-reception modes, with programmable sampling rate between 5 MHz and 80 MHz, internal triggering, repetition rate between 111 Hz and 333 Hz, pulse width of 100 ns and amplitude of 200 V. The reception circuits operate from 20 kHz to 30 MHz, with gain control from -40 dB to +40 dB. In order to evaluate the system performance, the propagation velocity and broadband attenuation of ultrasonic waves BUA were measured in acrylic and water. The results presented deviation below 1 %, showing good repeatability and demonstrating that the system can be used in non invasive and non destructive tests for different material characterization. | |
