Alopecias are diseases that are characterized by the reduction or absence of hair and/or hair. The basic phenomena that give rise to the various possible clinical situations may be: accelerated drop wires and/or regression of hair follicles (nonscarring alopecia). There is another group of alopecia at the injury scar and fibrosis is important in the region of the hair follicle (cicatricial alopecia). The diseases that cause abnormal decline of hair and hair are those that alter the hair cyclein any of its phases (an agen, catagen and telogen). Have this characteristic telogen effluvium, an agen effluvium and alopecia areata (AA). But the clinical picture of androgenetic alopecia is caused primarily by the involution of hair follicles by hormonal mechanism. Treatment is individualized for each type of alopecia, and still must evaluate the individual characteristics of each patient, from sex, age, time of onset alopecia and expectations of each individual. © Copyright Moreira Jr. Editora.Todos os direitos reservados.
