| dc.description | The effect of temperature variation (30 to 40°C) and pH control to 5,7 at 30 and 37°C on the ethanol and levan production during sucrose fermentation in batch process by Zymomonas mobilis CP4 were estudied. Growth rate and ethanol production were optimum at 34°C. Levan output decreased with increasing temperature and pH control during the fermentation. The best yields were obtained when pH was controled to 5,7 in both temperatures studied. The pH decreased below 4 when the pH was not controled. | |
