dc.descriptionThis work presents 5-ary turbo coded phase modulation. 5-ary turbo coded modulation consists of two 5-ary recursive systematic convolutional encoders, an interleaver together with a puncturing and a hybrid 4-5-PSK modulation scheme. The turbo decoding process is performed by a 5-ary iterative algorithm, based on the maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoding. The simulations show that 5-ary turbo coded phase modulation presents better performance than 4-ary (quaternary) turbo codes. © 2006 SBrT.
