Propositon of a standard description for phlebotomine sandflies

Abstract

Abstract - In order to be comparable, and efficient, the descriptions need to be as complete as possible and realized according to the same parameters. In this respect, we present the standard description of Phlebotomine sandflies elaborated by an American network of entonologists in a collaborative program dedicated to the creation of a Computer Aided Identification Program for Phlebotomine sandflies of South and Central America (CIPA programme).
