| dc.description | Existen muy pocas publicaciones sobre el tema de la ópera en el Ecuador sumado al escaso interés que se manifiesta en estudiar las óperas que contengan temas nacionales, ya que se sigue prefiriendo las óperas que llegan de Europa. Es necesario fomentar una conciencia sobre las producciones operísticas que constituyen patrimonios líricos en el país para lo que se ha decidido hacer un trabajo analítico de la música y libreto de la ópera Eunice (1956-57) del compositor ecuatoriano Humberto Salgado, quien encontró una estética propia a través de una identidad nacional académica, mediante la adaptación de armonías y técnicas modernas europeas combinándolas con elementos autóctonos de su país. El análisis musical en esta tesis abarca todos los parámetros armónicos, melódicos, rítmicos y de forma, así como un análisis literario sobre el texto de la ópera. Este trabajo se origina motivado por el hecho de querer difundir la obra operística de Salgado y se piensa que Eunice sería la primera ópera más conveniente de abordar en relación a las tres óperas restantes, Cumandá (1940-54); El centurión (1959-1961); y El tribuno (1964-1971), por ser Eunice la de menor duración y tanto el análisis como la transcripción de esta ópera dará pie para que se pueda continuar con el mismo trabajo en las otras. | |
