| dc.description | El artículo expone la relación e importancia de la vegetación arbórea urbana para alcanzar el confort en espacios exteriores y mitigar los impactos de la isla de calor y polución. Se consultan los informes anuales de monitoreo gestionados por la Empresa Municipal de Movilidad y Transporte desde 2008 hasta 2014 para determinar los niveles de contaminación de Cuenca. Se usan los informes del Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología y la Norma Ecuatoriana de la Construcción (NEC-11) para diagnosticar las condiciones climáticas de la ciudad y establecer el rango de confort térmico. Finalmente, se hace una simulación en ECOTECT de la radiación solar en un Parque de la ciudad y se comprueba como la sombra de la vegetación ayuda a alcanzar los niveles de confort durante las horas de mayor incidencia solar. | |
| dc.description | The article discusses the relationship and importance of urban trees to achieve comfort in outdoor spaces and mitigate the impacts of urban pollution and heat island. To determinate the pollution levels in Cuenca is consulted the annual monitoring reports by the Municipal Mobility and Transport from 2008 to 2014. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reports and Reporting Standard Construction (NEC - 11) to diagnose the climatic conditions of the city and set the range of thermal comfort are used. Finally, a simulation ECOTECT of solar radiation in a city park is made and checked as the shadow of the vegetation helps achieve comfort levels during the hours of highest solar incidence | |
