| dc.description | Conocer los fundamentos conceptuales que sustentan el tratamiento de la sexualidad en la Educación General Básica como Eje Transversal, es lo que ha impulsado a realizar una investigación de tipo bibliográfica buscando responder a la interrogante ¿Cuál es el alcance conceptual o teórico que tiene la presencia de la sexualidad como eje transversal en la Educación Ecuatoriana?.
Con este objetivo se realizó un estudio bibliográfico minucioso del alcance teórico y científico de la educación Sexual de acuerdo al modelo educativo vigente en la Educación General Básica. Buscando identificar la relación lógica entre el alcance de la Educación Sexual con el modelo de educación constructivista para sustentar el eje transversal de la sexualidad y su importancia dentro de los temas que se tratan en clase.
La sexualidad es un tema transversal y se la puede abordar desde cualquier área temática, dejando de lado la idea biologizada y mirando a la sexualidad de forma integral. El niño construirá su conocimiento en base a los conocimientos previos que trae consigo, por ello optar por el modelo constructivista es una opción primordial dentro de la Educación Básica tomando en cuenta a los temas como los que propone el Eje transversal de la Sexualidad. | |

Sexuality is a crosscutting issue and can be addressed from any subject area, leaving aside the idea and looking biologized sexuality holistically. The child will build their knowledge based on prior knowledge that entails, so opt for the constructivist model is a key option within the Basic Education taking into account issues such as proposed by the transverse axis of Sexuality. | |
