| dc.description | En este artículo se analiza brevemente la historia semántica del concepto “desarrollo sustentable” mediante dos grandes aspectos. En primer lugar, se revisa la historia de la formación del concepto de “desarrollo”, como un antecedente fundamental para entender el surgimiento del interés público en torno a los problemas ecológicos subyacentes en el crecimiento económico. En segundo lugar, se realiza una revisión crítica del “desarrollo sustentable” desde el punto de vista de su naturaleza cíclica. | |

First, we will review the history on the formation of the “development” concept, as a fundamental background to understand the origin of the public interest on the ecological problems underlying economic growth.
