Abstract
A wireless network of intelligent sensors with robotic nodes was applied for online supervision
of the ecosystem and contamination of water present in lakes and lagoons using development
cards. It is modular, setting up, cheap, easy installation and management system. It is structured
as a unidirectional type star network, which allows the incorporation of new modules and the
identification of critical areas. The designed system is able to measure variables with absolute
maximum errors in water temperature ± 0,5 ° C; pH ± 0,1; turbidity ± 1 UNT; conductivity ± 1
S/cm; atmosphere temperature ± 0,5 ° C; atmosphere relative humidity ± 3% RH based on the
tests applied, which measurements with an accuracy according to the intelligent sensors used in
laboratories. Each measurement is accompanied by the location of the shot through the Global
Positioning System (GPS) and the capture of video-images of the aquatic ecosystem. Its size and
complexity is due to the dimensions of the environment. It consists of three modules that
communicate for radiofrequency until 10 km without obstacles with a power supply of 5 V, WiFi
and
GSM.
The
first called Aquatic Robotic Node formed by the monitoring sensors of the
ecosystem and water pollution contained in the robotic node that navigates the lake or lagoon
obtaining the data that is sent to the remaining modules. The second a Remote Ground Station
that translates, visualizes, stores the information, and manage the aquatic robotic node. The third
is a warning module responsible for receiving a message on the mobile device when a parameter
exceeds the permissible limits, while controlling the movements of the robotic camera. The
information that can be gathered with the system generates a historical databases that will allow
the development of operational models to predict behaviors that affect the lakes and lagoons.
