dc.description.abstractThe present non experimental research of descriptive and transversal style whose objective was to assess the adult and young nutritional condition with dietary parameters and body composition, carried out at the Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial Campus Santo Domingo to 60 students from the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences where general characteristics were identified such as gender and age, moreover nutritional condition was assessed obtaining weight, height, BMI, waist circumference and the percentage of fat mass also lifestyle were investigated with surveys and physical activity diagnostics by IPAQ test, tobacco consumption (Fagertröm) and alcohol dependence (Audit test) as well as the frequency of food consumption through screening by block for fat consumption, fruit/vegetables and fiber, It was found an average age 19-years-old, with 56,6% of women and 43,3% of men with a height average 1,70m and women 1,52m according to the BMI 1,66% shows low weight, 78,3% normality and 20% overweight, 8,33% of the individual according to the waist circumference shows increased metabolic risk and 1,66% shows very-increased metabolic risk, 64,9% are insufficiently active or sedentary, in this way the hypothesis is rejected due to there is no significant statistical relation in the variables association (due to the p. values are greater to 0,05). It is recommended to increase the time and the intensity of physical activity.
