dc.description.abstract | This research is to determine the Nutritional Status and Energy Consumption/Protein in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease of the Hospital IESS of the city of Riobamba which consist in a cross-experimental study, in 40 patients, data were obtained as general characteristics, socioeconomic, nutritional and energetic consumption / protein that were explored by Socioeconomic survey, 24- hours dietary survey and anthropometric data, data analysis was performed on computer programs, JMP 5.1, Canasta, Microsoft Excel 2007. The result showed that patients with the highest percentage was given by the male with 52.5%, it was found that patients with low popular strata most affected with 42.7%, there is equality between the secondary and no, there is dominance in primary education, in terms of higher instruction the percentage is low, Nutritional Status 22.5% deficient, Triceps Skinfold with deficient, 17.5%, 77.5% Brachial Circumference Deficit, 22.5% Energetic Consumption appropriate and altered over 12.5%, 57.5% Between Insuficient low and very low, 60% Protein intake between excess and altered, 5% very low. In the association of variables, it was found that patients with higher malnutrition are the elderly, no statistical difference was found between consumption Energetic/Protein and Nutritional Status at rejecting the hypothesis posed. It is recommended that patients have an adequate intake of food that this is varied, appropriate, balanced, complete and safe. | |
